Why the Star Wars sequel motion pictures unsuccessful, according to the series’ unique editor

The Star Wars sequel trilogy is a difficult a single to replicate on in retrospect – largely since of its missed alternatives, and how hard The Rise of Skywalker worked to ignore the occasions of its predecessor. 

But a more substantial authority on Star Wars thinks the sequels failed: Marcia Lucas, one of the original editors of the 1977 movie, who was previously married to George Lucas and educated parts of A New Hope’s script. In a foreword to the book Howard Kazanjian: A Producer’s Lifestyle by the late, excellent JW Rinzler, Lucas reportedly slams the conclusion to destroy off Han Solo in Star Wars: The Power Awakens.
